Always phone the surgery first: the vet may be elsewhere or operating and if he can be warned of your emergency he can prepare.
If the surgery is CLOSED there will be a recorded message telling you how to contact the duty vet on his mobile phone (this applies to any locum if the vet is on holiday). Outside normal hours duties are shared between Ron Lowe and the vets at Forest House Veterinary Surgery, York Road, Knaresborough. The message will tell you whom to contact.
It is always best to get your pet to the surgery by arrangement with the duty vet. Serious emergencies need the facilities at the surgery as soon as possible.
If you are doubt whether your pet's problem is an emergency, please telephone for advice. We will do our best to help your pet as soon as possible.
The surgery is open as follows:
Monday to Friday..............8-30am to 7-00pm
Saturday.................................9-00am to 11-00am
